The Youth of our parish have the opportunity to honor and serve the Lord at the Altar. Volunteers, generally beginning in 3rd or 4th grade, serve as Torch Bearers and advance to Crucifer and Server. Scheduled monthly, acolytes generally serve at the 10 am service and also serve at special services.
Altar Guild
The Altar Guild is responsible for arranging flowers, polishing silver, caring for linens and clergy vestments, preparing vessels for all services, and decorating the Church for special services.
Eucharistic Ministers
Eucharistic Ministers and Eucharistic Visitors assist the clergy in distributing Holy Communion and in bringing the sacrament to those who may be ill, homebound, or in the hospital. The EVs also serve as the eyes and ears of the priest, reporting to her those homebound members who may also be in need of a visit from the priest or may need other types of assistance.
Greeters
Greeters perform the special ministry of greeting and welcoming visitors, providing information, and extending hospitality to all who enter our sacred space.
Lay Readers
Lectors read the Old Testament Lesson, lead the Psalm, and read the New Testament Lesson at celebrations of the Holy Eucharist. We love to hear a variety of voices proclaiming the word of the Lord at our services.
Choir
The Choir at Christ Church is made up of dedicated volunteers who love to sing. We come in all ages, sizes and shapes AND we are always on the look out for new singers to join us.
